Little Makers Events was founded in 2018 by Rebecca Collins, a former primary school teacher with a passion for creative education. After witnessing how hands-on creative activities transformed her classroom dynamics and improved learning outcomes, Rebecca decided to expand this approach beyond traditional schooling.
What began as small weekend workshops in a community center in St Kilda quickly blossomed into something much bigger. Parents were amazed by how engaged their children were and how much they looked forward to the sessions. Within a year, Little Makers had outgrown the community space and moved to our current location on Chapel Street.
In 2020, Rebecca partnered with James Martinez, an early childhood education specialist, and Olivia Chen, an events coordinator with experience in children's entertainment. Together, they expanded the Little Makers concept to include birthday parties, holiday programs, and specialized educational workshops.
Today, Little Makers Events has become a beloved fixture in Melbourne's educational landscape, having worked with over 5,000 children across Victoria. We've collaborated with schools, community organizations, and local businesses to bring creative learning experiences to diverse communities.
Our journey continues to evolve as we explore new ways to inspire young minds through creativity, play, and discovery. What remains constant is our commitment to providing children with experiences that spark curiosity and build confidence in a safe, supportive environment.
